The St. Paul Saints, the minor-league affiliate of the Minnesota Twins and a longtime favorite of minor-league baseball fans, has been sold to a new ownership group. The St. Paul team, founded three decades ago by Marv Goldklang, Mike Veeck, and actor Bill Murray, announced on Wednesday its sale to Diamond Baseball Holdings. Terms of the deal, which still must be approved by Major League Baseball, were not disclosed. Founded in 2021, Diamond Baseball Holdings is ownedby the California-based private equity firm Silver Lake and is perhaps the largest operator of minor-league baseball teams.
