The first snap of Iose Epenesa's sophomore season will come in less than two weeks when the Edwardsville Tigers travel to Jackson, Missouri, on Aug. 26 for the opener.Still, Epenesa has already received a national honor. Last week, Epenesa was named to the 2022 Preseason MaxPreps Sophomore All-America Football Team. He was a first-team selection. A 6-3, 230-pound defensive end, Epenesa was the only player selected from the area and the state of Illinois. There were 57 players selected for the All-Sophomore team, which included first-team and second-team selections.
